We had representatives attend the Sacramento City Unified School District’s 2nd Annual No Time to Lose Conference on Monday, June 3rd. This conference had various leaders wanting to encourage change for our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Youth.
The discussion ranged from understanding the Gender Spectrum, how to talk to Queer youth and even gave more information on the FAIR Act, which will make LGBTQ history part of our schools’ curriculum.
This was a great place for politicians, community leaders, teachers, counselors and school nurses to come together and start making changes so that we can meet the needs of our LGBTQ youth.
