Become a Peer Educator

We are looking for passionate people who are interested in sexual and reproductive health!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Peer Educator. This is an opportunity for 10 youth aged 16-24 with an interest in sexual and reproductive health. You must live in Sacramento County to join the 2024 program.

Sacramento Peers on Prevention (SacPOP) is a youth driven organization that is dedicated to addressing sexual health and reproductive justice issues in order to close the health equity gap among BIPOC youth. SacPOP believes that it is important to empower youth and encourage safe and supportive communities by providing comprehensive, inclusive, medically accurate, sex-positive sex education. The mission of SacPOP is to empower youth to take action and control of their health. We are driven by the following values: Passion, Respect, Diversity, Inclusivity, and Cultural Sensitivity.

What you will do:
* Plan and facilitate educational workshops online
* Create and promote online campaigns
* Write blogs and social media posts
* Meet amazing community leaders

Time Commitment:
*This program will be from February 25th - July 7th, 2024
*Meetings will be once a week on Sundays from 6pm-7:30pm PT

***Meeting will be hybrid and the in-person meetings will be 2/25, 3/24, 4/28, 5/19, 7/7.
*$200 stipends will be provided each month ($1,000 total)

SacPOP is seeking community-focused leaders to serve on the board in order to push our mission forward. Those interested in being a board member, must be passionate about improving the sexual health and wellbeing of youth and making a difference in the community.
